Monarch Lyrics
By Fiona McAllister
I see it in the intricate pattern of a butterfly’s wings. They’re amazing.
So fragile in my clumsy hands, a colorful and delicate thing. I love how you save them.
You make them fly like mountain eagles, bounce in the breeze past ocean seagulls,
How do they know to go from Canada to Mexico, when they hear your call.
A million monarch butterflies, warmed by the sun take to the skies.
They fly around the world, no fear at all. They know just what to do.
When they hear the whisper of Your call, they fly around the world to be with You.
They never see the snow come in, or see the world wear freezing rain,
They don’t have a clue that You protect them.
In Mexico’s tall mountain peaks, sleeping in the tops of trees,
Closed wings looking just like leaves, they’re dreaming butterfly dreams.
When the sun comes out to warm them, their bright wings open,
Swirling like flowers, they’ve woken, the spell is broken...
When they hear your call
A million monarch butterflies, warmed by the sun, take to the skies,
And fly around the world… No fear at all,
They know just what to do.
When they hear the whisper of your call.
They fly around the world for you.
One day this world, will shed it’s ugly skin, …
And we’ll hear the call cause we’ve been waiting….We’re waiting…
(Till like) a million monarch butterflies, warmed by the son to take to the skies,
Fly… No fear at all.
We’ll know just what to do. When we hear the whisper of your call,
We’ll fly… fly….. fly around the world to be with you.
Like a million monarch butterflies.
